Organise

Run and adjust your event from the field

Create the event, invite participants, decide whether phones are enough or trackers are needed, publish the public map, and keep routes, checkpoints, devices, messages, and results accurate while the event is underway.

Many events can run with participant phones only. Add trackers only when the format, terrain, rules, or reliability requirements need them. The event stays live, editable, and easy to follow. Rented phones, GSM trackers, satellite trackers, timing integrations, and operations support can be added by quote.

Choose the devices

Allow participant phones, rented Android phones, GSM trackers, satellite devices, uploaded activities, timing data, or organiser corrections.

Switch during the event

Move a participant between tracking sources when a device fails, batteries run low, coverage changes, or an organiser needs to correct the official result.

Reduce cost and effort

Use participants’ phones where possible and reserve dedicated or satellite trackers for the sections and competitors that really need them.

Field-ready control

Manage the event from your phone. Publish route, checkpoint, or location changes, follow the field, message participants, and apply result changes from the start area, a checkpoint, or the forest without extra hardware.

Live event operations

What can organisers change during the event?

Routes and variants

Update the route, variants, closures, or neutral sections when the field, weather, or permits change.

Checkpoints and event locations

Move, add, reveal, or explain the locations that define progress and completion.

Official participant messages

Send event decisions, warnings, and context through the same system participants are using.

Tracking source assigned to a participant

Switch between phone, tracker, upload, timing, and correction sources when the event record needs it.

Corrections and result context

Keep official corrections connected to the event record, replay, and final result.

Public event visibility and replay context

Control what followers see and how replay explains source changes, decisions, and final results.

Operational control

What can change while the event is running?

Route, checkpoint, or location changes. Publish edits while the event is running. Use them for closures, permit changes, checkpoint moves, dangerous sections, route variants, reveal rules, or schedule changes.

Device logistics stay optional. Handing out and collecting trackers is often the hard part. MapCatch lets many events avoid that work by using participant phones.

Managed service when you want it. Keep mobile events self-service when that is enough. Rental hardware, paid access, external trackers, subscriptions, setup help, operations support, and cleanup are quote-assisted.

One live event view. Positions, route progress, live results, messages, replay, and corrections stay together even when tracking sources change.
